Hi Kids!  Guess what, I went to college again!  Its great fun, as I got to travel to different places and meet new college students.  When they have to take big tests the schools have started inviting therapy dogs, like me, to come and play for a bit.  You know how nice it is to just sit and pet me?  Well the older kids like it too, and the teachers!  My mom got some nice pictures of our fun,....

And Lucy, well she had her first official visit to the middle school.  It went fabulous, but I'll let her tell you,....., Lucy???



Hi, Lucy here - yes I had a GREAT time at the school.  I  helped with a student who is learning to read better.  And, I got to point out the pictures I liked.  We sat in a nice quiet room where we read 2 books.  It was so much fun we are going back in January.  Do you like to read?  Its lots of fun, especially when you can do it with a friend,...

Look what I can do!

Its me, Lucy.  While my brother Zenny has been visiting lots of difference places I have been doing fun stuff too!  I got to go to a school in Coventry and compete in an obedience trial.  And I got a nice ribbon for going and I did really well!  Its called Competition Obedience and some folks do this with their dogs.  It can be a lot of fun.   My mother was VERY proud of me!  Check it out, some nice lady videotaped us so we could watch it later.  And I also did agility this month, I've been busy!

This week I went to the library to see the kids also.  Miss Cheri gave me a cookie,.... thanks Miss Cheri!  And look, Miss Cheri is making trees for the winter display, pretty cool, isn't it? 

Catching up with Zenny!

Hi, its Zenny here.  Do you celebrate Thanksgiving?  If so, I hope you had a lot of good times, fun with your family and lots of turkey! 

I have been VERY busy and my mother is having a little trouble keeping up with my blog.  So here's a bunch of stuff all at once.  Its been very fun. 
First, the library is very busy these days getting ready for the holidays and for SANTA!!!! Did you know Santa is going to be at the library again this year?  And I'll be there also!  We hope to see you on Dec 14th - I'm hoping that I will be able to whisper in Santa's ear again,..... 

Second, my sister Lucy and I went to visit a nice school in Hartford.  Last year I went to this school and helped with their reading program and we are going to do that again this year also.  Lucy and I will be taking turns visiting the kids and joining in with their reading. 

And, more college visits are coming up!  I will get to go visit the girls at St. Joseph's College in West Hartford and then see everyone at the library at UCONN College also.  I will be a very busy boy and will be taking big long naps between things....

The Leaves are Coming the Leaves are Coming!

Hi Kids, Zenny here.  Did you know, its Fall?  and you know what happens then?  leaves fall to the ground and you get to play in them after your mom or dad get them all in a big pile for you, yeh!!!  Lucy and I love to play in the leaves, I'll bet my mommy will take a picture of that pretty soon!

Library visiting was fun this week.  The big project after story hour was a nice leaf collection on paper.  And, I got to read a book with one of my very special friends.

hi, Its Lucy, I want a turn to talk to you also!  Remember a few weeks ago when I told you I went to a show with lots and lots of other labradors???  Well some nice lady took some pictures,... it really is fun!
This is an AFrame, see how high it is?  I have to climb up one side and then down another - but I can't jump over the yellow part!

This, doesn't it look familar?  This is called a See Saw - it moves when you start on one end and goes down when you get to the other end, its just like the see saw you play on in the parks but there is only one dog on it at a time!

Beanie Babies, Story Hour and Exercise!

Hi Kids - Zenny here.  It was my turn to go to the library this week.  I brought a present, actually lots of presents.  I had Beanie Babies at home, do you know what those are?  Little cute stuffed animals that you can carry around with you.  Well for some reason I had LOTS of them at home.  The library, they do really cool displays and I'm hoping that I might see one or two of them in one of those displays soon!  They will be so much happier at the library then here at home.  They don't get played with much here,....

Then my mother too me for some exercise.  Mom and I haven't been on a together hike in a long long time,..... boy was it fun.  The water was cold though - very exciting!  We labradors like the cool fall weather, its makes us very happy!

Okay kids, we will see you in a couple of weeks.  We have company at the house this weekend, can't wait! maybe there will be pictures!!!

Moms got a little time this afternoon so she's getting this posting out right away!!

what fun we had.  Lucy and Zenny have a house guest this week, her name is Priya and she is a chihauhau!!!  She is much smaller then us, we are labradors.  Priya is a puppy and weighs only 2lbs!!  when she is full grown she will weigh about 4lbs!  We are all grown up, Zenny and I and we weigh about 70lbs!  Wow, big difference, right? 

ahhhhh

Anyway, Priya is very cute, but very fast and a little busy for us right now.  But she fit right in at the library and got to meet everyone just like Lucy.  Lucy had her own visit first though - check it out

Zenny goes to College and Lucy gets to Jump!

Hi Everyone

This week, Zenny went to college!  Well, he went to college to visit students who are studying very very hard.  They really enjoy Zenny and other therapy dogs who come to visit.  Many of the kids have dogs at home that they miss a lot so they get a little Zenny love for a while.

My sister Lucy, well she went to play in agility this week.  They have a really cool show called the Labrador Nationals where lots and lots of labradors show up to show off all of their talents!  Its really fun.  Lucy was there with 2 of her sisters.  It was lots of fun and Lucy got a ribbon also!

And then, well, its just been a busy week for my sister Lucy.  On the weekend she went far away and met some horses, did a lot of jumping and came home with more ribbons!  Isn't she lucky??  And she got to visit with some of her best friends,.....

Hi Kids!
Lucy and Zenny here.  Sorry we haven't been around much but our mother had some things going on.  But, we are back!  And we are so happy about it, especially our mother!  We missed the library and all of our friends. 
We have had a pretty busy summer - we are learning still about following people who are lost so that we can find them, and Lucy (thats me!) is still doing agility.  Thats where I get to run around a field and jump over things and climb over things.  Its fun! 

We hope to see everyone, old friends and new! Thanks for waiting for us to come back,.............

Hi Everyone
Zenny and Lucy here.  Our mother has been very busy lately and has not had time to let us use the computer!  But here we are, she's doing laundry so we decided to do our own typing,....
Lucy and I have had so much fun at our Zenny and Lucy Story Hour.  Lots of new friends - and last week a nice lady from the newspaper came and took pictures of Zenny and his friends.  Lucy missed out on that! 

Anyway, next week is our LAST week for us until Miss Cheri starts up the regular story hour sessions.  Both Zenny and Lucy will be at the library on Tuesday August 9th.  We will stay a little longer also. 

In the meantime, here are some awesome pictures of all our new friends.  Thank you to Miss Cheri and Miss Chris for taking all of these great pictures!

Zenny and Lucy Story Hour is a hit!

Hi Kids,....Don't you just LOVE story hour???  I especially love this time of year at the library because the kids come to read special to me!  I love it!  Last week we read about meeting strangers, and learned about all different types of trucks.  You might notice that I am not wearing my therapy dog vest.  I love my vest, it makes me so important!  But it was really hot last week so I did not  wear it.  Its nice in the winter because it keeps me warm but to warm in the summer time!
Library was great fun!  .....and afterwards, I got to go swimming, which I love also!  Last week we saw some old friends  and met some new ones, Hunter,Abby,  Emma and Allison, !  Tomorrow, my sister Lucy will be at story hour to listen to you read.  She is waiting patiently to have her turn,...

Lucy and her Ribbons

Hi Everyone, Lucy here.  This weekend I went to an agility trial.  Do you know what that is?  Its where I get to run around an obstacle course with my mother and I get to jump, play on a see saw and have lots of fun.  And guess what, I did really well and came out with Lots of Ribbons!  And, I also went to an obedience trial.  Its not nearly as much fun as agility - but I did really well and got ribbons there also! 

And then, I got to play with the hose,   do you ever run get to run and play in the sprinkler?  Thats what I did,.... what fun!

Hi Everyone!

What did you do last week?  While we are waiting to get back to the library for story hour, my mother is taking me to go tracking.  Do you know what that is?  Well, its really fun.  My mother takes me to a big field along with a friend and her dog.   The people make a trail in the grass field and drop cookies along the way for us to find.  Its kind of like following breadcrumbs or a treasure hunt!  Then, after walking, turning and walking some more, you get to find the big prize - usually its a cool thing like an old glove filled with cookies, a little toy truck, something cool!  If I get really good at this I might be able to get a ribbon for it! 

We go to a really cool place called Horse Barn Hill at UCONN College.  Its an awesome place and when you are done you get to visit with the cows and play in really cool mud puddles,.... check it out.....

Hi kidsLucy here. I had a great visit at the library today! We read about frogs, do you like frogs? My mother likes them a lot, we have a lot of pretend frogs all over our house and have even seen some in our yard!
